Sunday Morning Pancakes.

I'm not a pancake person, but I had a sudden craving for it last night. I did a quick Google search on a pancake recipe and found this: Good Old Fashioned Pancakes. The recipe yields 8 servings, and since I was cooking for just my dad and I, I halved the recipe. (Strange... I had to use half an egg for this....)

I never knew that it was such a simple recipe.

Good old Fashioned Pancakes
(4 servings)

INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1-3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 egg
  • 1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Perfect [[Easy&Simple]] Recipe for KitchenNoobs, like me :)

Since my dad was the only one awake, I made some for him too. Guess what? He ate ALL of them! I ate the first one, but that one was the "tester" and was a flop. I offered him one, and he gobbled it up right away.... I just finished another one and put it on a plate... and when I turned around... HE ATE THAT ONE TOO! ... He didn't even bother putting it on his own plate. =_+" He used a different set of utensils too. Aiiyah. His response: It was so good and such good service. I thought you wanted me to eat it. :) *insert innocent face. >:[
--> A few seconds later. Mmmm... that was good. Ergg, I'm so full. **walks out of the kitchen. Ahh! What kind of Daddy is that?!

Good thing there was enough batter for another pancake... another pancake A QUARTER THE SIZE OF THE ONES HE ATE! Course, I was still hungry after that, so I had Breakfast Part II, Scallion Omelette with Rousong.
